Maternal and Child Health Nursing (MCHN) is found in NP2 of the PNLE. I’ve taken the liberty to include both normal and abnormal pediatrics under this folder for brevity. By far, obstetrics is one of the more complete parts of this knowledgebase due to my head professor’s proclivities with obstetrics. I can’t say the same for pediatrics, but I’m on it.

As mentioned, MCHN makes up 20% of the board exam. Not only that, but family and child health is also one of the largest delegations of nurse work (~25% of nurses in the U.S.). Being knowledgeable about this field, especially for health education regarding care of well and sick children, is highly serviceable knowledge to carry into your professional life.

Ratings?

Ratings are based on a very limited sample size of lecturers who have rated a topic’s relevance to the board exam from the options “Low Priority” (1), “Nice to Know” (3), and “Must Know” (5).
